Best Concert of My Life

I can’t say enough about the whole experience. Great venue at the Effingham Performance Center. Perfect song selections. And the performance was absolutely flawless and 5 Star. The band seemed to be loving it as much as the full crowd. Something like 2-1/2 hours with at least the last half hour with the whole audience on their feet. Truly, the band displayed appreciation for the crowd response and made us feel a part of the experience. Lead singer Don Barnes is the only original 38 Special member, although this band ensemble delivered totally true to the original hit studio recordings. Barnes was signaling some fatigue (with a smile) toward the end but never faltered. What a voice! (and I never realized that he carries a full load in producing that signature 38 Special guitar sound). Don’t miss this if you have a ticket opportunity. And an honorable mention to opening act ,”Feel” out of St Louis. High energy Southern Rock well done … they have a big future.
